
The Jacksonville community is mourning the loss of Adelisa “Addy” Rose Johnson, a 15-year-old sophomore at Jacksonville High School, who tragically died Friday evening in a single-vehicle crash in Morgan County, Illinois. Three others were also injured in the accident, though their conditions have not been publicly disclosed.
According to the Morgan County Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred around 6:00 p.m. near the intersection of Mt. Zion Road and Gravel Springs Road. The vehicle, traveling eastbound, left the roadway for reasons still under investigation and rolled over. Addy, a back-seat passenger, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
